Welcome to RiverWay – the Quad Cities’ scenic stretch of the Mississippi River with 65 miles of riverside parks, trails and overlooks between the river bluffs. Take time to enjoy America’s most famous river. Walk or bike along its riverfront trails. Ride its waves on the Channel Cat Water Taxi. Visit its many historical sites and riverfront attractions. Camp and fish its backwaters. Enjoy its immense beauty!

Fishing on the Mississippi River has been a popular past-time and is now big business for sport fishing! Anglers will enjoy bass, walleye, crappie, catfish, and more. The Quad Cities Sports Commission along with our municipal partners have been attracting fishing tournaments for years, and the feedback has been exceptional.

Fishing on the Mississippi between Lock and Dam 13 and 16 are the most popular. Launches are available in Rock Island, Illinois from Sunset Marina, along with recreational docks and launch areas which can be found along both sides of the River.
